Conference are held since 1977. During its existence, read on space formed as a tool for mapping the process of collective production of new knowledge in the field of space exploration . Consideration on the readings of modern achievements of astronautics , together with the study of its history, developing a system of knowledge necessary for further progress in all areas of space exploration . In accordance with the traditions of Russian science reading memory of a prominent scientist devoted not only to the analysis of his creative work , but also to research the genesis of his ideas in the modern system of knowledge , as well as estimates of the state of scientific research in this field of science . This approach to the scientific heritage of the scientist from the standpoint of the current state of knowledge determines the composition of the reports actually reads : In addition to historical research materials related to either the outstanding domestic scientists - pioneers of space exploration , or significant events of national astronautics widely the reports containing results fundamental research and development to ensure space exploration at the present stage . As speakers at the readings, as a rule, the scientists and engineers of historical scientific and engineering schools, vigorous activity which the Russian space program continues to maintain its leading position in the world , so they are paying tribute to the pioneering work of the founders , efficiently analyze the current state of the relevant industry and Astronautics report new results of their research.

Functional properties and their relationships rocket and space state system may well be likened to a living organism with its special properties as resilience - the ability to survive in extreme conditions. Such a comparison is very important for the understanding of the functioning of research institutes and design of space-rocket system in Russia today in the economic downturn and lack of funding for space activities. In these circumstances, scientific and systems design teams remain viable - they can not stop scientific research and technical development , as involved in the complex functional interactions with each other for many years co-creating samples of advanced technology . Loss of viability will mean the collapse of space-rocket complex country and its exit from the world of space exploration process . It is known here that cost of funds for reconstruction of the ruined complex functional system disproportionately greater than those needed to maintain its operation.

The foregoing understanding of the functional properties of space-rocket system in Russia , leads us to the identification of another socially significant functions readings on space - they are an indicator of its viability , ie Research institutes and design , or rather, their scientific and engineering communities. Discussion at the next reading of the report on the most important issues of all major research directions of world space means that the Russian space complex retains its vitality , as well as the team of engineers and scientists of his composing.
